The Millholland
Planetarium is a state-of-the-art theater, featuring full-dome
digital technology –MEDIAGLOBE 3-D, created by Konica Minolta
of Japan – and a powerful surround sound system to truly
transport audiences beyond the confines of Earth. Visitors will be immersed in giant-screen, 30-foot dome images
of the surface of the Sun, Mars, nearby galaxies and beyond. Features
include a traditional star talk – Catawba Sky—and rotating
digital presentations. Explore the rings of Saturn, massive black holes, volcanoes, ocean
depths, the human body and more!

In this animated feature, Big Bird and his friends explore how
the world and the nighttime sky are the same for all of us no matter
where we live. Elmo and Hu Hu Zhu examine how the Earth and
Moon are similar and how they are different. Learn the locations
of our North Star and the Big Dipper. Enjoy a favorite song about
the night sky sung by Hu Hu Zhu in Chinese.

with Oxy, a precocious oxygen atom, and Hydro and Hydra, her wacky
hydrogen pals. Ride from the atomic structure of a snowflake
to the far reaches of space aboard the Molecularium, the most fantastic
ship in the Universe.
